Getting Started

Psychotherapy is hard and rewarding work. It is a profound collaboration between you and your therapist. Studies show that the best therapeutic outcomes are forged through a strong alliance in this therapeutic relationship. Simply put, it is optimal to work with someone who is a good fit for you, and at Strive Psychotherapy we endeavor to make that connection with you.

If you are considering services with Strive Psychotherapy and would like to set up a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation with Dr. Kennedy, please click on the “Schedule a Consult” button where you will be directed to a convenient, secure, HIPAA-compliant online booking and practice management system. Please register as a new client.

Once registered, you will be emailed a link to set up your access to the online portal. The set-up link will expire in 48 hours. After logging into your account, please click on the SCHEDULE NEW APPOINTMENT button and follow the prompts and choose any available time that is convenient for you to learn more about working with Strive.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Good Faith Estimate Notice:

In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, uninsured clients or clients electing not to use insurance must receive 1) a notice of your federally protected rights when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider and 2) a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Please note that this Act does not apply to clients who plan to submit claims to insurance for reimbursement.

  • The Good Faith Estimate must be provided in writing within certain time frames before a medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may dispute the bill.

  • You should save a copy or picture of their Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (316) 462-5000.
